jammr 1.2.5 released

I'm delighted to announce the jammr 1.2.5 release.

Next time you launch jammr you will see a dialog asking you to update.

This minor update includes the following changes:
* Add support for surround sound playback devices
* Hide metronome bar when metronome is disabled
* Fix “Send” button on startup

Thanks for all the feedback and bug reports. Happy jamming!

Haha, let me clarify that this simply means jammr now works with surround sound soundcards, whereas previously you would hear no sound from the speakers. It does not mean that surround sound (front left, front right, back, etc) actually gets used for spatial sound .

Sorry to disappoint if you were hoping for Jurassic Park 3D effects. But it will make people very happy who were unable to use internal soundcards because they happened to be surround sound.

So that's why I get so many returns with Jammr on it. last week I had 8 channels. Is there an easy way to turn it off?

Not right now. Can you describe the issue more and post the name/model of your soundcard? I guess you have multiple outputs and don't want playback on all of them?

Hans: If it's a big inconvenience I'll private message you a downgrade link so you can use jammr 1.2.4 for the time being.

jammr 1.2.5 released

Hi Stefan,

it's not a big issue, as I can turn them off manually, but I just wondered why it happened. I have a Focusrite Saffire Pro40, and in the MixControl software I made some monitormixes which include 8 returns from my DAW. After the update I got sound on all of the returns, what resulted in a very loud headphone level. After turning off most of the returns it went back to normal.
