regularly meetings - Another Try of a "Jammr Band"

Unless we set the BPI to the whole song we will always be playing over the last section.
what about to treat the verse and chorus as two different songs during jams. so for jamming it remains as usual, just a repeated chord progression. for the daw you can alternate the tracks as you like later so the song is also in our mind not only in live performance. please think at a backing track for me too with your song. may be i will be able to practice over chords….

Not a bad plan Adi. At least that way we get both live and progressing music.

You've probably heard the songs I'm currently working on as I have a habit of playing them during jams but as soon as I've got them recorded I'll post it in here.

Also sorry for my late reply.

@Jay the plan sounds good, let see how it works.

I think, in case of DAW's will let some more space for tryings!

hear you
Tim

Could someone record a progression and post it here with the chords then and we can practice a little before organising a jam.

I've got a couple of ideas but am happy for someone else to take the lead.

J

please add to your progression your solo notes if possible… or tab! (loop made with lmms)
for learning proposes… just your audio record doesn't reveal the score. thanks in advance!

Hopefully I'll be on tonight and will have a listen when I get home and try and add something myself. Are we recording individual tracks or are people recording mixed version and then posting it.

Thanks Tim for the score, I begun to learn. That A before the drum bit is hard to catch…

If you post a riff of your own I will tray to learn/practice. I hope all riffs will also be played in our jam sessions. If I will play wrong you can remix… but jam sessions often bring nice ideas!

with lmms software from ubuntu studio it is possible make a whole virtual loop (only with this one program). i tried to put in drums and chord progression loop together with an instrument track for soloing. all can be send in jammr via jack support. note that bpm can be changed according to jammr bpm output.

i will try to learn how to make the same thing with a daw… by recording my instruments but when i look to daw software like garage bend i understand nothing.`
