Totally new to this but would love to give it a go.
Would a semi acoustic guitar fit into the session this coming Saturday?

I'm guessing that if I get my guitar playing through my PC then that is more or less the technical bit done?

easiest connection is with an electro-acoustic guitar and an usb sound card (both are high-end gears). If your guitar is not electro-acoustic you can try to add a microphone to your chain.
for a cheaper conversion of the sound you need a pickup adapter for acoustic guitar (if you have steel strings) and an usb cable link…
a transducer pickup can capture the sound too.
or a microphone for computer near the guitar body connected into the soundcard jack… (i often use this last solution but i have to find a mic level that reduce noise at minimum.) usually the computer sound card is not good for guitars)

Hi TCat,
All instruments and vocals are welcome . People play different styles but it's usually possible to find common ground. If there are enough people we split into multiple jam sessions. That makes it even easier to group together related instruments/styles.

Couldn't get my guitar through PC.
I tried putting guitar (mic) through effect pedal…..then added an Amp.

Will try again sometime soon when I have it sorted
