I am really not understanding how this works, but it sounds like maybe its for guitarists?? I play in a Renaissance recorder group (yes, the wooden flute-like instruments). We do not “jam” or improvise. We are playing part music. Will this work for us?

It depends on the structure of the music. If you want to perform pieces that consist of difference sections then it will not work.

There needs to be a repetitive structure to the music in order for jammr's synchronization to work.
