Hi
I've scoured the forum posts but can't find the advice I need to get going with Jammr
I am using a Babyface external soundcard. All my instruments/guitar are picked up in the studio via a neuman mic plugged into the Babyface. I can see the Babyface responding when I play guitar or sing.
The Babyface is connected to my MAC via usb and also to my earphones.
No other sound software is running.
I can log into Jammr and set up a new jarm. I add my username and another guitarists username to the new jam, and we both appear and can send text messages.
I can hear the other guitarist perfectly but he can't hear me.
Apple/preferencxes show sound input and output as Babyface.
Any suggestions as to where we might be going wrong.
Any help much appreciated.

Hi Barry,
Sounds like it's almost working! You can select the sound input/output devices that jammr uses by going to jammr | Preferences. Note that sound settings can only be changed when you are not connect to a jam session (File | Disconnect will disconnect you).
Two more tips to get sound working:
1. The Send button in the bottom-right corner of the jammr window controls whether others can hear you. When this button is enabled your audio is transferred to everyone. When this button is disabled others cannot hear you.
2. jammr only records the first channel (or first two channels for stereo) of the sound input device. If your soundcard has multiple inputs then you may need to plug yourself into the first input.
Hope this helps!

Hi Mznplaz,
You can use an Focusrite Scarlett Solo USB audio interface. I recommend setting up ASIO to get the best latency with that sound card on Windows. On Mac and Linux no special setup is required.
Here are the ASIO instructions for Windows:
