hello,
I just came upon this question since I wanted to participate in the Friday jam in an hour
I dont have any special microphones for it, I got an electrionic mute, which can take sounds
but sounds kinda meh and buzzes weirdly
and the microphone from my headset, which I can hardly use because i would have to drop the headset next to my Horn then (I could try that and use another pair of headphones to listen to the rest of you)
for reference I recorded the intro riff to Tornado of Souls with both (I didn't do many takes so it's not flawless but this is about sound quality anyway) and I guess im better off with the headset solution?

if you have any other solutions or advice they are welcome

what about integrated microphone of your laptop? I tried mine as a test: http://vocaroo.com/i/s0rNm1egcdIE
for recorder headset is nice too because it is near the instrument… curious to see what solutions are the best too.

well I dont have a laptop microphone and used my headset mic to participate in the last jam, worked out nicely (could hardly hear myself on the recording after but I heard myself while playing so that was fine)
