After a long hiatus the next jammr update is close to completion. Try the jammr 1.2.7-rc1 beta release if you're feeling adventurous.

Warning: This is a beta release and may not work as well as the current stable release. Roll back to the stable release at any time simply by downloading and installing jammr again.

This update includes the following changes:

• Add AudioUnit support on macOS
  
• Propagate tempo changes to effect plugins
  
• Add font size setting
  
• Save and restore window position/size
  
• Prevent screen sleep on Windows and macOS during a jam session
  
• Show getting started tips when connecting to a jam session
  
• Minimum Ubuntu version: Xenial 16.04 LTS
  
• Minimum macOS version: Sierra 10.12
  

When you start the beta a dialog will come up asking if you want to install the stable version. Say “no” to that dialog.

Note that AudioUnit windows do not automatically fit themselves so you need to resize them manually to view plugins at their best size.

Hello Jammr Community,

*** EDIT: I got this working before I was going to post my problem. If I went to File and then settings in Jammr. I changed the audio settings selection at the bottom from Microsoft WDM-KS to MME and this appears to have resolved my issue ***

I am stuggling to get a session set up on my Samsung RV515 laptop using Windows 10 and a USB to XLR microphone lead with xlr microphone attached.

At this point all I want to try and achieve is to start a new session and be able to hear the vocal in the session.

I can get to Connect To Server Screen on Jammr but as soon as click the new jam button there is an error message that comes up. After I have done this, if I try to go back and connect to a session I can see the old session listed.

When I first tried to do use jammr I was having a different problem. I could create a session but I was getting a loud noise in my right side of my headphones and I could also hear the metronome. The loud noise was a bit like a continuous lower frequency square wave that was very loud. I changed my audio settings in jammrs settings and also in windows. It was when I changed the audio settings to what I thought was correct I started having issues.

Error Message When New Jam Button pressed

"There was a problem starting audio. Try The Following Steps.

Check that the audio device connected
Ensure no other applications are using the device
Check input and output devices in the audio configuration dialog
Select a different audio system in the audio configuration dialog

If this problem continues please report a bug and includes contents of the log file at CUsers/Laptop/AppData/Local/jammr/log.txt

Hello Ladies'n'Gents

As you may well know the Access control portion of jammr lacks few key features!!!!
For instance

1. Saving Usernam list's for use with the allow only these users to join section
2. The Reverse of the above for saving people you dont want in a jam “Donest realy work!!!”

So ive been looking at a way of saving usernames and have come up with a way you will need to download a free program to create keyboard marcosi personally use http://www.phraseexpress.com/freeware.htm

Once installed fire it up and create a new unformmated script and name it Jammr Access List or sometime to that effect.
Now just enter your usernames serperateing them with #ENTER this command fires off the enter key.
E.g
Username1#ENTERUsername2#ENTERUsername3#ENTER

Assign a hot to it for instance Ctrl + Alt + A or whatever takes your fancy

Now Enjoy a your jam without having to repettativly copying and pasting in username.
can also be used for answering those same old questons time and time again.
