Pro guitarist/bassist from London looking mainly for a platform to connect my local music community. I have a choir, host jam sessions, teach privately and in school and perform regularly with a number of bands. The Coronavirus lockdown has forced cancellations of gigs, festivals, schools, jam sessions and rehearsals of every description. If there are any top tips for new jammr users from people who have been using it for a while, please share.

If it all goes well and I can function on this platform, I'd be interested in jamming, too, especially but not exclusively funk/soul music. But I do everything from classic rock & pop to Irish Folk Songs, too. Electric and acoustic guitars and basses.

I'm a Bass player from Minneapolis.
I had a load of fun last night jamming. Question: I could not hear my self very well but everyone said I was too loud. Is there a built in mixer or something to adjust all of this?
Thanks,
Arlan

Electric guitar, USB to 1/4“ cord, plugged into a USB port on my Windows 10 computer and 1/4” plug into my guitar. What do I do next to connect to other users and a jam? This sounds so interesting…

Hi, hoping someone can help me set up.

I have a Korg Kross II keyboard which has a mic input line (I've connected the mic in there - so if I plug headphones into the keyboard I can hear both keys and vocals). The keyboard also has a USB out line which I've connected to computer and tested (as a mic part built into other device).

The mic is working on Jammr - I've ticked “play back my audio”; can hear my voice in the new jam I started; but no keyboard sound coming through. Should I be able to connect directly or do I need to connect the keyboard to a speaker and route back through the mic?

I'm using Windows WASAPI audio system, Microphone Array (Realtek Audio) input device, Speakers/Headphones (Realtek Audio) output device, 48000hz sample rate and 5.33 latency.

Any suggestions please; I feel like I'm so close to joining the action!
Thanks

Hello, I'm a Guitarist, Bassist and Sort of Banjo player. I love all kinds of music I love to play Bass in bands and finger style on acoustic but not exclusively and Earl Scruggs style on banjo well I would like to.
I joined this site to see if it would work for band practice, I'm in a band we call ‘Aussie & the Menace’ For all my American friends out there ‘Aussie’ is pronounced ‘Auzzie’ just thought I'd through that out there.
4 peace, Bass, Drums, Two guitarists . we play a mixture of originals and covers. So there,s a bit about me.

Could you please make a video of your computer screen showing how to create a Jam session (both private and public)? I need to know what exactly the screen is supposed to look like after you download the program and open it to be sure it downloaded correctly. The video for the jam sessions should start from the very beginning so we know where the right directories and buttons are.

Also, is Jammr just for ad lib playing based on chord progression? I need to know if two to five classical musicians with acoustic instruments can simply play sheet music together though Jammr.

Thanks

Hello! I am excited to be on this site in hopes of joining in sessions with fellow musicians. I am currently in isolation due to the Corona virus. Perhaps during this time I will improve my playing skills through this website. My instrument in a Gibson J200 acoustic guitar and I enjoy playing country, bluegrass, contemporary Christian, Gospel and blues. Rock on! Blessings, Nancy

Hello! I'm so exited to be here. I'm in the Seattle area of Washington State in the US. We are currently on alert for Corona virus so I've been in house for a week with the possibility of remaining here for another 2+ weeks. I am glad to be here to help relieve the boredom. My instrument is a 30 year old Gibson J200 acoustic guitar. I enjoy playing country music, contemporary Christian, bluegrass and I would love to gain some knowledge in the blues genre. I've been playing for over 60 years and still play regularly at local facilities for shut ins and seniors. It keeps my chops up and I enjoy our time together. I look forward to playing where available on this site. Blessings. Nancy
