I'm looking to try this out. Is the latency really workable to play together over the internet? My mic and Focusrite interface are ready to go!

Introductions » Hi all, I like to play whatever is missing. (Bass drums guitar, I'll even try keys if i must :)) » March 20, 2020 19:58:01

had a couple of fun jams with people so far and looking forwards to many more as a way of improving as a drummer, do make sure you have headphones on if using a mic though as it is mighty confusing hearing yourself back several bars later

LOVE to improv..

With enough musical instruments and equipment (left over from yesteryear) lying about my/our small wooden house, to mount a small festival, but with friends variously marrying, dying, moving away, etc, my active musical engagement has recently all but evaporated.

Hoping this helps..

So ‘Hi to everyone’,

Assuming this works as described (a leap of faith in itself), can I now look forward to jamming with the World?

We are a music school current on hiatus due to Covid19. All of the students are at home and are downloading the software. How do we get started? Who else is here from SLAMSLC?

Hello: I just registered today. With the shelter in place restrictions and closure of bars due to the Corona Virus, my band wants to try to get together online. I am not real high tech when it comes to programs like Jammr. Do I need a program or software like Garage Band to use Jammr? I need to get one of those 1/4" jack to USB cables for my guitar.
I will appreciate any recommendations regarding cables or software that work best with Jammr.

Thank you,
Lawrence

Introductions » Dave - Bass player in Devon, UK » March 17, 2020 14:49:36

Hi all
just signed up as getting out to play is not so easy at the moment! Thought I'd see what remote playing over the internet is like.

Been playing bass for 35 years, mainly pop, rock, folk and some jazz. I've played in numerous covers bands over the years, and am in 3 at the moment (2 covers, one original).

Also play a bit of Mandola, whistles, keyboards when needed!

I live in North Devon in the UK

cheers
Dave

Austin-based rock musician/singer/songwriter, trying to put together some online jams while isolating due to the Corona Virus. Who wants to play?

Rock, blues, jazz, folk, funk, R&B, Soul, ambient, noise, even some country and hip hop. I even want to play the weird stuff nobody else will get with you on. Hit me up.

hi all!
Just found jammr, and interested, as i like to jam with other musicians. No ego's involved please. Just listening and finding my spot. I hope this sort of initiative will grow fast so that we can form communities online and empower the collective mind again. There also are Ninjam and other apps.
I'm playing for over 35 years, started in the Netherlands with a blues rock band, playing Amsterdam and other cities. Played all over Europe with the Freewheelers and now in California. Part of the Stockton jam scene.
