Running Mac 10.15

I have an audio interface connected but can't switch to it.

Can't even switch to external headphones connected to the mac.

See attached image. I've tried restarting, rebooting, connecting/disconnecting, nothing seems to let me change the audio settings.

Any tips or help?

I'm running Mac 10.14.6 with a Focusrite iTrack solo. I know the focusrite is working ok with other apps.

Preferences in the file menu is greyed out and inaccessible when i'm am not connected to a server.
When I connect to any server I can select preferences from the file menu but cannot make any changes.

Guys you have to be disconnected from a server to change your audio settings!

Worked it out. I was not connected to a server but the server connection dialogue box was open which prevented the menu option being available
