UR44 I can hear but cannot get audio to be sent

Hi,

My MIDI VSTs work great but when I try to use the UR44 to send audio (guitar/mic/drum machine) it does not get heard on the channel (I hear them well, of course, via the device).

Input device is set to Line (Steinberg UR44)
Play back my audio CHECKED
Output device set to Line (Steinberg UR44)
Audio System set to Windows WDM-KS (the only one that works. the other ones just don't).

I hear sound from all (via the UR44), I can send my keyboard via “Effect Plugins” module, I cannot send audio via UR44.

Help anyone?

Thank you!

Hi ericharari,
No problem, you can combine the VST and UR44 audio together like this:

1. Go to File | Settings on Windows or jammr | Preferences on Mac to access jammr's sound settings.
2. In the Effect Plugins tab select a VST plugin instance and click Route…
3. In the routing dialog set Audio to “Mix”.

If you do this for every VST plugin instance that you have configured then the final audio signal will be a mix of the VST plugin outputs and the UR44 input signal.

Happy jamming!

That was very helpful!. Thank you!

Now I'm left to figure out why only channels 1-2 of my UR-44 are being broadcast while channels 3-6 just don't, although they are active and not muted…

If and when I solve it, I'll post here for others with similar issues.

All the best and happy jamming!
