G'day,
Nads from Australia here. I've been playing Guitar for a long time (25 years), but still consider my self a beginner in the sense that I can play most chords and a few simple guitar solos, but have a very small repertoire, and I've only started wanting to get good recently. My biggest problem is remembering the songs I've learnt… as I don't get a lot of time to play/practice (small family syndrome). But with a bit of notice, I can contribute to main stream stuff.
I can play some basic bass guitar, and have recently acquired a drum kit, which I'm really keen to improving on.
My dream has always been to record multi-track covers of songs that I love (literally for the fun of making music). I'm on here because a mate of mine (who plays <cough>cello</cough> ) are looking for ways to collaborate, and I'd love to have the odd jam with people in a similar situation and similar level. Below is a very rough example of me on guitar, drums and bass (including 2 guitar tracks) on audacity. I need to add another 2 guitar tracks (+ vocals) and my mates cello. but this is about my level with some practice.

Hope to catch you on the ether some time.

Nadsywelcome!!! nice track! but better forget about covers on jammr. you are here to learn how to jam. if you can join the public jam sessions (https://forum.jammr.net/6/ look here for schedules) soon you will receive many hours of your recordings (look at your e-mail) and you can choose your best performances! surely there are jams based on famous songs but very far from original tracks (sending copyrighted materials is prohibited here). if you forgot the line of the song there's no problem, just improvise or play chords!

Thanks adi 👍🏾
adiI can live with that… And I wasn't meaning recording covers on jammr… That's my own personal thing I do in my make-shift home studio. But something I would be interested in doing (after I've had a few goes on here) is seeing if there are a few people with a similar taste in music, who'd like to jam to a short song list.

adiCan u elaborate? Does this mean we can't play covers if we wanted to, or I shouldn't have posted a link to my dodgy recording 😉
