finally it was released and i bought this weekend plan. so quota is not an issue anymore. by the way i don't know how much is the traffic for an hour of jamming. i tested it and the sound is continuous, without lags. my laptop battery last 1-2 hours. soon i will try to connect to jammr server in a park. i hope to be more portable so…

The amount of network traffic depends largely on the number of people in the jam. I'd estimate 25 MB/hour per person but I haven't checked and jammr uses a variable bitrate codec so it depends on the audio input too. Let us know what you find if you measure it.

I measured 40M on my 3g mobile phone. The test lasted 30 min. I used usb tethering connection between phone and laptop. Sometimes the icon showed a hsupa network. The jam was without lags. My 4g phone didn't work.

My test started with three jammers connected to the server and ended with seven jammers. Perhaps the average amount of traffic may vary if all room is full but the today estimation is 80 M/hour for a normal jam. I will buy a 4g mobile hotspot soon… and hope not to play with lags while I'm not at home in weekends…

I wonder if there is a way to measure the traffic on a laptop not on the phone…
