Hi,
I'm trying to run Jammr on a 12 year old HP laptop running Windows 10. I am trying to use an external mic that I use for singing.

I can see the various jams, but when I try to connect to one of them, I get an error message saying that it failed to start audio. It states that I should check to make sure that the audio device is connected. It is, and it is working as I can see it when I check it in Windows.

I am currently running Windows WDM-KS as the audio system in settings. I've tried the other settings but they are not working either.

I would appreciate any suggestions that you could offer. Thanks.

Could you be running some other software that takes ownership over the audio interface?
WDM-KS requires exclusive control over the audio interface.

ericharari: Thanks for helping. I agree, it's likely that another program already has one of the devices open and that is preventing jammr from using it.
