Hi, do you use any apps on your mobile smartphone/tablet when you practice playing your instrument?
Let's share some suggestions! Some nice Android apps I use:
  • Practice Hub: provides a metronome, tuner, drone player
  • HSTempo: finds the BPM of music by tapping on the screen
  • Drum On!: a very simple drum machine

BTW, all of them are free software and available in the F-Droid free software repository, besides the google play store.

Hi Cri / Everyone

I Use a few guitar apps on android

1. UltimateGuitar.com Tabs
2. Waves Guitar tuner aka gStrings “Probably the best tuner on android”
3. Jambox “For Chords and Scales”
4. UltimateGuitar.com tools “Metronome Tuner(Rubish tuner) Chords”

Hope this helps anyone

only stefanha as a developer can help with this but there is an alternative… buy a cheap laptop with emmc driver or a 2 in 1 laptop/tablet hybrid. it has less than 1 kg. add a portable midi controller and a 4g mobile internet subscription. this should work with the existing app.

jammr does not support mobile yet.

When I travel I have jammr on my laptop and plug in a smaller USB MIDI keyboard controller. Then I can use synthesizer plugins to get cool sounds and jam.
