Thanks, Cobbyco!

Maybe it would be an idea to post the instructions on the FAQ or How-To page of the website? I think on the Forum they are not very easy to find, which results in many newbies (like myself) joining in a trial-and-error fashion leading to some frustration for all parties involved.

Secondly, would it be correct to describe the jamming process as loop-based? Which would also mean that for a soloist, using a lot of repetition would be required in order to have the rhythm people react to his/her ideas?

What do I do if I am a drummer? Do I just start a beat to solo?

Very helpful - it was NOT clear that a New Jam was by default to Private. Knowing to go to Admin settings Access Control and decide if you will let everyone join or only let specific users join your jam is ESSENTIAL knowledge for all of us wanting to use this to rehearse with band mates.

New user. I've installed, Mac. When I start the app and sign in, I see a mostly emtpy box, with some lines of chat at the bottom and then metronome settings. I cannot see any way to connect to jams. Any help?

If you choose ‘File’ from the menu bar and then ‘Connect’ that should bring up a window showing active jams and the option to start a new one.

Welcome musicman1976,
When you start the jammr application you will see a list of jam sessions after you log in. If there is no one else online try joining an empty jam session and wait a few minutes to see if someone else joins. People jam every day, some times are busier than others.
